Lupa è una scultura che indaga la trasformazione del corpo, rompendo i confini fra donna, bestia e macchina.
La scultura può essere letta come l’abbandono della propria coscienza. Dopo un trauma avviene un distacco dal proprio essere umano e l’accesso ad uno stato emotivo animalesco come forma di sopravvivenza.
Il corpo sofferente e contorto si sta trasmutando; ha abbandonato la forma umana ma non è ancora del tutto animale. Lupa è quindi un ritorno alle origini, un contatto con gli istinti viscerali.
Lupa è anche un cyborg primordiale. Primordiale perché è appunto un incontro con lo strato subconscio, più antico, del nostro essere. Cyborg perché il soggetto è in parte artificiale. Una macchina è stata inserita dentro la donna, c'è un meccanismo che fa fuoriuscire delle zanne dalla sua schiena scucita. È un corpo portato allo stremo. È Indefinibile. Ha superato il suo limite umano. La domanda che mi pongo è: si può modificare l’essenza umana?

The sculpture can be read as the abandonment of one's conscience. After a trauma, there is a detachment from one's human being and access to an animalistic emotional state as a form of survival.
The suffering and twisted body is transmuting; she has abandoned the human form but is not yet fully animal.
Lupa is a return to the origins, a contact with visceral instincts.
Lupa is also a primordial cyborg. Primordial because it is precisely an encounter with the subconscious, the oldest layer of our being. Cyborg because the subject is partly artificial. A machine has been inserted inside the woman, there is a mechanism that protrudes fangs from her unstitched back. It is a body stretched to its limit. It is Indefinite. She has exceeded her human limit. The question I ask myself is: can the human essence be changed?
